3-fold tie
It is the most common. Although it is the basic model, it is often the best choice. Recommended in hot weather, for example, or when heavier fabrics are used, which would otherwise give life to a tie that is too double, used for more elaborate models.
Jacquard silk
In 1801 JM Jacquard invented the mechanical loom, which allowed automated weaving and which, therefore, allowed the fabrics to be given unprecedented complexity and a pleasant thickness. The design, in this case, is obtained by crossing different colored threads. Our beautiful jacquard silks are supplied by the best silk factories in the world, located in Como.

Madder silk
Treated with an indigo-colored substance that softens the tones, making them opaque, and makes the fabric elastic. The silk, treated in this way, acquires a very particular and unique hand.
Also known as "Gum silk", this type of silk is the prerogative of English culture, which in fact leads back to it. Its dull-toned appearance makes it particularly suitable for the winter season.

Silk gauze
There are different types of silk gauze, although the most prestigious and sought after is the so-called "leno" one
The preciousness of the latter is due to the fact that it presupposes an extremely slow and accurate production, which only ancient looms can make, looms that only two Como silk factories still possess.
Suitable for more informal occasions, but also for the most elegant. Available in “Lined” and “Sfoderata” versions, with visible stitching.

UNLINED 3-fold tie
The 3-fold tie is the most common. What makes it unique is its construction. Unlined and finished with a hand hem (the same as pocket handkerchiefs), to obtain a tie similar to a foulard. Light, not very thick, almost unstructured. The feeling you get when wearing it is that you don't have any tie around your neck, given its low weight. Nonetheless, the knot is perfect and has the right consistency. A great protagonist of modern times, in which comfort is often favored. Definitely recommended in the warm season or when using heavier winter fabrics, which otherwise would give life to a tie that is too thick.
Shantung silk
This type of silk is one of the rarest and most precious. It is crude and consistent. It shows the most disparate irregularities, including lumps, buttons, knots and flames. However, being a rather rare silk, its irregularities are considered a unique and sought-after peculiarity. It is a fabric that does not crease and is also very resistant. Ideal for both hot summer days and cold winter days.

7 folds tie
It is considered "the queen" among the ties. A 7-fold tie requires the use of twice the fabric, compared to a traditional 3-fold, and double the manual labor, skilled labor. The hold and the way of falling of a 7-fold are impeccable. Furthermore, this construction gives the tie a beautiful, intense and light hand, impossible to obtain with less fabric. The difference between a 3-fold and a 7-fold tie can only be perceived by wearing it.
Hand printed English silk
The most prestigious and expensive. Its brightness, the incomparable way of expressing colors, its hand and, more generally, the feeling that this silk gives are simply perfect.
